In a culture where swiping left on an app, and showing affection through “likes” on social media is the norm, it’s almost difficult to believe that two individuals met authentically in person and have lasted as long as we have.

Not to toot our own horns as if meeting through the internet is a bad thing, because I am all for finding love in any which way you can! Message in a bottle, instagram, long distance, next door neighbor – each love story is amazing. All I’m saying is that I’m well aware our relationship is an anomaly i.e not common in our society today.

I know this because of the kinds of reactions I get when talking about my relationship.

“Since MIDDLE SCHOOL???” “You’ve only been with ONE GUY all your life???”

And the answer is yes. One guy.

The follow up questions are even more surprising.

“And you guys never took a break??” “You never cheated on each other??” “You never had a crush on anyone else?” or may favorite question: “HOW??”

I’m only 24 years old, and I’ve been in a relationship for over 10 years, and to me, it’s always been easy.

But after 10 years of answering these questions and giving relationship advice to the people closest to me, I thought it might be time I share my experiences and love with others! So stay tuned 😉
